These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set forth the conditions for using Wood Shape Puzzle: Tangram (the “App”), including the version displayed on your device as Tangram, and any related game features, content, advertisements, updates, support services, and other services provided by Koh Kobayashi (“we,” “us,” or “our”) in connection with the App (collectively, the “Services”).

By installing, launching, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms, the following terms shall have the meanings set forth below:

  1. “User” or “you” means any individual who installs, accesses, or uses the Services.
  2. “App” means the game application Wood Shape Puzzle: Tangram, including the version displayed on your device as Tangram.
  3. “Services” means the App and any related game features, content, advertisements, updates, support services, and other services provided by us in connection with the App.
  4. “Content” means all content included in or made available through the Services, including but not limited to game rules, puzzle designs, stages, levels, shapes, images, icons, sounds, music, visual effects, user interfaces, layouts, text, software, code, data, and other materials.
  5. “Game Data” means data generated or stored through your use of the Services, including but not limited to game progress, stage progress, rank progress, settings, sound and BGM preferences, hint usage, advertisement-related counters, play history, and locally saved puzzle state.
  6. “Third-Party Services” means services provided by third parties, including but not limited to Apple App Store, Google Play, advertising providers, analytics providers, crash reporting providers, operating system providers, and other external service providers.
  7. “Advertisements” means advertisements displayed in the App, including but not limited to interstitial ads, rewarded ads, video ads, banner ads, or other advertising formats.

2. Agreement to These Terms

  1. You may use the Services only if you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  2. If you are a minor, you must obtain the consent of your parent or legal guardian before using the Services.
  3. If a minor uses the Services, such use shall be deemed to have been made with the consent of their parent or legal guardian.
  4. Parents and legal guardians are responsible for appropriately managing minors’ use of the Services, including gameplay, advertisement viewing, device permissions, app store settings, and use of Third-Party Services.
  5. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must stop using and uninstall the App.

3. Changes to These Terms

  1. We may modify these Terms when reasonably necessary, including due to changes in laws, changes to the Services, operational needs, security reasons, changes to Third-Party Services, or changes to app store requirements.
  2. When we modify these Terms, we will notify users of the revised Terms and their effective date by appropriate means, such as in-app notice, app store listing, website posting, or other reasonable methods.
  3. If you continue to use the Services after the revised Terms become effective, you will be deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
  4. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Services.

4. License

  1. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable, limited license to download, install, access, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.
  2. This license does not transfer to you any ownership rights, copyrights, trademarks, design rights, or other intellectual property rights in or to the Services or Content.
  3. All rights not expressly granted to you under these Terms are reserved by us or the applicable rights holders.
  4. You may not use the Services for commercial purposes unless expressly permitted by us in writing.
  5. Your use of the Services is also subject to the terms, conditions, and policies of the Apple App Store, Google Play, your device manufacturer, your operating system provider, and any applicable Third-Party Services.

5. Nature of the Game

  1. Wood Shape Puzzle: Tangram is a puzzle game in which users place, rotate, flip, and arrange wooden-style shape pieces to complete target shapes.
  2. The App may include automatically generated puzzles, randomly generated stages, rank progression, hints, sound effects, BGM, visual effects, local save features, app store rating and review requests, and advertisements.
  3. Puzzle difficulty, stage structure, rank progression, hints, rules, visual design, sound, advertisements, and other gameplay elements may be adjusted, changed, added, or removed through updates.
  4. We do not guarantee that any specific puzzle, stage, difficulty level, reward, rank, feature, design, or gameplay experience will remain available permanently.
  5. The App is provided for entertainment purposes only.

6. Game Data and Local Save Data

  1. The App may save Game Data locally on your device.
  2. Locally saved Game Data may include, but is not limited to, stage progress, rank progress, selected rank, experience or progress values, sound settings, BGM settings, hint usage, advertisement-related counters, app store review request status, and current puzzle state.
  3. The App currently does not require account registration for normal gameplay.
  4. The App currently does not provide cloud save, online account synchronization, user login, online ranking, chat, friend features, or user-to-user communication features.
  5. If you delete the App, clear app data, clear browser or device storage, reset your device, change devices, reinstall the App, update your OS, or experience device failure, Game Data may be lost or reset.
  6. We are not responsible for loss, corruption, reset, or failure to restore Game Data, except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
  7. We may change the format, storage method, or handling of Game Data through updates.
  8. We may delete, reset, modify, or invalidate Game Data if necessary for bug fixes, security, prevention of abuse, changes to game balance, technical reasons, or service operation.

7. Advertisements and Rewarded Ads

  1. The Services may display Advertisements, including interstitial ads, rewarded ads, video ads, banner ads, or other advertising formats.
  2. Advertisements may be provided by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdMob or other advertising partners.
  3. Interstitial ads may be displayed after clearing puzzles, moving between screens, or at other reasonable points in the App.
  4. Rewarded ads may be offered in exchange for optional in-game benefits, such as hints or other gameplay-related assistance.
  5. Even if a rewarded ad is offered, the ad may not be available, may fail to load, may be interrupted, or may not grant a reward due to network issues, ad provider issues, device settings, lack of ad inventory, operating system restrictions, user behavior, fraud detection, or other reasons.
  6. We do not guarantee that advertisements will always be available, that rewarded ads will always grant rewards, or that any particular advertisement will be displayed.
  7. You must not engage in fraudulent ad viewing, invalid clicks, false installs, automated ad interactions, reward abuse, ad fraud, or any other misuse of advertising systems.
  8. Advertisements, advertiser websites, advertiser apps, and advertiser products or services are provided by third parties. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, legality, safety, availability, products, services, or privacy practices.
  9. Your interaction with advertisements or advertiser services is at your own risk and may be subject to the terms and privacy policies of the relevant third parties.
  10. Advertising-related data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. App Store Ratings and Reviews

  1. The App may occasionally ask you to rate or review the App through rating and review features provided by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or other applicable app stores.
  2. Such requests may be shown after certain gameplay events, such as clearing puzzles, reaching progress milestones, or other moments where we reasonably determine that a review request would be appropriate.
  3. Whether a rating or review prompt is actually displayed is controlled by the applicable app store or operating system, and we do not guarantee that such prompt will always appear.
  4. You are not required to rate or review the App in order to use the Services.
  5. We will not condition gameplay progression, rewards, hints, features, or access to the Services on whether you submit a rating or review.
  6. Ratings and reviews submitted through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or other app stores are handled by the applicable platform and are subject to that platform’s terms, policies, and privacy practices.
  7. We may view, manage, or respond to public reviews in accordance with the tools and policies provided by the applicable app store.

9. Paid Services and In-App Purchases

  1. The App is currently provided without paid in-app purchases.
  2. We may introduce paid features, paid content, ad-removal features, subscriptions, one-time purchases, or other paid services in the future.
  3. If paid services are introduced, their price, content, duration, renewal conditions, cancellation method, and refund conditions will be displayed in the App, app store, or other applicable purchase screen.
  4. Purchases, billing, cancellation, refunds, and payment method management through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by the applicable platform and are subject to that platform’s terms and procedures.
  5. We do not collect or store your full payment card number, bank account information, CVV, or other complete financial credentials.
  6. Unless required by applicable law or permitted by the applicable app store’s policies, paid services, if introduced, may be non-refundable after purchase.
  7. If subscriptions are introduced in the future, deleting the App alone may not cancel the subscription. You must cancel subscriptions through the applicable app store or platform settings.
  8. Purchases by minors must be made with the consent and supervision of their parent or legal guardian.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You must not engage in any of the following acts or any acts that may fall under the following:

  1. Violating laws, regulations, public order and morals, these Terms, app store terms, or Third-Party Service terms.
  2. Using the Services for any illegal, fraudulent, harmful, or unauthorized purpose.
  3. Exploiting bugs, errors, vulnerabilities, unintended behavior, or unintended specifications of the Services.
  4. Cheating, hacking, modifying, tampering with, or manipulating the App, Game Data, save data, advertisement systems, review request systems, or gameplay results.
  5. Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, analyzing source code, analyzing communications, or attempting to derive the source code, structure, or internal logic of the App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
  6. Using bots, scripts, macros, automation tools, scraping tools, crawlers, data mining tools, or other unauthorized means to access, operate, analyze, or collect information from the Services.
  7. Interfering with, damaging, overloading, disabling, bypassing, or compromising the Services, advertising systems, security systems, networks, servers, app store systems, or Third-Party Services.
  8. Using the Services in a way that interferes with other users’ enjoyment of the Services.
  9. Impersonating another person or entity, misrepresenting your identity or affiliation, or providing false information.
  10. Uploading, transmitting, or introducing viruses, malware, spyware, harmful code, or other harmful materials.
  11. Selling, lending, transferring, sharing, sublicensing, commercially exploiting, or otherwise disposing of the App, Content, Game Data, access rights, or any part of the Services without our permission.
  12. Copying, reproducing, modifying, distributing, publishing, selling, lending, adapting, creating derivative works from, or commercially using the Services or Content beyond the scope permitted by these Terms.
  13. Using our name, app name, logos, icons, screenshots, designs, UI, game systems, music, sounds, or other Content in a way that suggests official approval, sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement without our permission.
  14. Using the Services or Content to create, train, support, or promote cheating tools, copycat games, unauthorized clones, analysis tools, or competing products.
  15. Engaging in fraudulent advertisement interactions, invalid traffic generation, reward abuse, payment abuse, refund abuse, fraudulent review manipulation, or other abuse of Third-Party Services.
  16. Making false reports, abusive inquiries, excessive support requests, or otherwise misusing support channels.
  17. Infringing our or any third party’s copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, reputation, or other rights.
  18. Any other act that we reasonably determine to be inappropriate from the perspective of service operation, security, fraud prevention, user protection, or rights protection.

11. Measures Against Violations

  1. If we reasonably determine that you have violated or may violate these Terms, we may take measures that we consider necessary and appropriate, including but not limited to:
  1. warnings;
  2. restriction of certain features;
  3. reset, correction, deletion, or invalidation of Game Data;
  4. invalidation of rewards, hints, progress, ranks, or other gameplay results;
  5. restriction of access to the Services;
  6. suspension or termination of your use of the Services;
  7. preservation of logs or evidence related to misconduct;
  8. reporting to app stores, advertising providers, payment providers, law enforcement, courts, administrative agencies, or other relevant organizations;
  9. any other measures reasonably necessary to protect the Services, users, third parties, or us.
  1. We are not liable for any damages caused to you by measures taken under this Article, except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
  2. If your violation of these Terms causes damages, losses, costs, claims, or disputes to us or any third party, you shall be responsible for them to the extent permitted by law.

12. Intellectual Property Rights

  1. All rights, title, and interest in and to the Services and Content, including copyrights, trademarks, design rights, know-how, and other intellectual property rights, belong to us or the applicable rights holders.
  2. You do not acquire any ownership rights in the Services or Content by using the Services.
  3. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, lend, modify, adapt, translate, publish, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, create derivative works from, analyze, or commercially use the Services or Content except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
  4. All app names, logos, icons, designs, UI elements, puzzle designs, visual assets, sounds, music, and other Content are protected by intellectual property laws and other applicable laws.

13. Screenshots, Gameplay Videos, and Social Media Sharing

  1. You may use screenshots, gameplay videos, and similar materials from the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, including reviews, commentary, gameplay videos, livestreams, and social media posts.
  2. Such use is permitted only if it does not:
  1. violate laws or public order and morals;
  2. infringe the rights of us or any third party;
  3. mislead others into believing that your content is officially provided, approved, sponsored, or endorsed by us;
  4. promote cheating, hacking, unauthorized modification, or exploitation of bugs;
  5. disclose confidential or non-public information;
  6. damage the reputation or goodwill of the App, the Services, other users, third parties, or us;
  7. use the Content primarily for commercial merchandise, resale, or unauthorized business purposes.
  1. We may request that you remove or modify screenshots, videos, posts, or other materials if we reasonably determine that they violate these Terms or harm the Services, users, third parties, or us.

14. User Submissions, Uploads, and Communication Features

  1. The App currently does not provide user account profiles, public posting, chat, image upload, live camera, voice chat, or user-to-user communication features for normal gameplay.
  2. If such features are introduced in the future, additional terms, rules, or privacy notices may apply.
  3. If you voluntarily send us content through customer support, email, app store reviews, feedback forms, or other communication channels, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to send such content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.
  4. You must not send us content that is illegal, harmful, discriminatory, violent, sexual, obscene, abusive, threatening, defamatory, harassing, infringing, fraudulent, or otherwise inappropriate.
  5. You must not send sensitive personal information, such as government identifiers, financial information, precise addresses, health information, or private information about others, unless specifically requested by us for a legitimate support or legal purpose.
  6. We may use feedback, suggestions, bug reports, ideas, or other comments you provide to improve, modify, develop, promote, or operate the Services without any obligation to compensate you, unless otherwise required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

15. Third-Party Services and App Stores

  1. The Services may rely on or integrate with Third-Party Services, including but not limited to Apple App Store, Google Play, Google AdMob, operating system services, device services, advertising networks, analytics tools, crash reporting tools, app store rating and review systems, and other service providers.
  2. Your use of Third-Party Services is subject to the terms, policies, fees, technical requirements, age restrictions, privacy policies, and regional restrictions of the relevant third parties.
  3. We do not control and are not responsible for Third-Party Services, including their content, availability, operation, security, data handling, payment processing, refund procedures, advertisements, ratings, reviews, links, websites, apps, products, services, or changes to their terms.
  4. Third-Party Services may change, suspend, or terminate their services, SDKs, APIs, policies, or technical specifications. Such changes may affect the availability or functionality of the Services.
  5. We are not liable for damages arising from Third-Party Services, except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

16. Changes, Suspension, and Termination of the Services

  1. We may change, add, suspend, interrupt, restrict, or terminate all or part of the Services at any time if reasonably necessary.
  2. Such changes may include changes to game rules, puzzle generation, difficulty, ranks, stages, hints, rewards, advertisements, review request timing, visual design, sound, BGM, supported devices, supported operating systems, data storage methods, and other features.
  3. We may suspend, interrupt, or terminate the Services without prior notice in the following cases:
  1. maintenance, inspection, updates, or repairs;
  2. bugs, failures, crashes, communication issues, or technical problems;
  3. changes to app store rules, operating system specifications, advertising provider requirements, or Third-Party Services;
  4. security, anti-cheat, fraud prevention, or user protection needs;
  5. natural disasters, fire, power outages, infectious diseases, war, riots, labor disputes, legal restrictions, governmental requests, court orders, or other force majeure events;
  6. business, operational, technical, legal, or platform-related reasons;
  7. any other reason we reasonably determine to be necessary.
  1. We are not liable for damages arising from changes, suspension, interruption, restriction, or termination of the Services, except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

17. Updates

  1. We may provide updates to the App for improvement, bug fixes, security enhancement, feature changes, game balance adjustments, advertisement integration, legal compliance, or compatibility with app stores, devices, operating systems, and Third-Party Services.
  2. If you do not install updates, all or part of the Services may become unavailable or may not function properly.
  3. Updates may change or remove features, designs, game balance, data formats, storage methods, advertisements, review request behavior, and other elements of the Services.
  4. We do not guarantee compatibility with all devices, operating systems, or future versions of app stores or operating systems.

18. Privacy

  1. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  2. Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information in connection with the Services.
  3. Information related to device data, advertising identifiers, gameplay data, local storage, crash logs, advertisements, app store review request status, purchases if introduced, and customer support is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

19. Disclaimer of Warranties

  1. The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
  2. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, regarding the Services.
  3. We do not warrant that:
  1. the Services will meet your expectations or specific purposes;
  2. the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or always available;
  3. bugs, crashes, data loss, display errors, sound issues, advertisement issues, review request issues, or other defects will not occur;
  4. puzzle generation, stage progression, ranks, hints, or other game features will always function as intended;
  5. advertisements or rewarded advertisements will always be available or function properly;
  6. app store rating or review prompts will always be displayed or accepted;
  7. the Services will be compatible with all devices, operating systems, screen sizes, languages, regions, or network environments;
  8. the Services will be free from viruses, malware, or harmful components;
  9. any specific result, score, rank, reward, enjoyment, or satisfaction will be obtained through use of the Services.
  1. The Services are provided for entertainment purposes only.

20. Limitation of Liability

  1. We are not liable for any damages arising from or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the Services, except in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
  2. Even where we are liable, our liability shall be limited to direct, ordinary, and actually incurred damages to the extent permitted by law.
  3. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost profits, loss of data, loss of Game Data, device failure, business interruption, indirect damages, incidental damages, special damages, consequential damages, punitive damages, or emotional distress.
  4. If paid services are introduced in the future and we are liable in connection with such paid services, our liability shall, to the extent permitted by law, be limited to the amount you actually paid for the paid service that caused the damage during the one month immediately preceding the occurrence of the damage.
  5. If we are liable in connection with free Services, our liability shall be limited to a reasonable amount to the extent permitted by law.
  6. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
  7. The limitations of liability in this Article do not apply in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

21. User Responsibility and Indemnification

  1. You are responsible for your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, your violation of laws, your infringement of third-party rights, your misuse of Third-Party Services, and any content or information you provide to us.
  2. If your intentional or negligent act, violation of these Terms, violation of laws, infringement of third-party rights, fraud, cheating, or misuse of the Services causes damages, losses, costs, claims, or disputes to us or any third party, you shall be responsible for them to the extent permitted by law.
  3. Nothing in this Article requires you to indemnify us to an extent prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws or other mandatory laws.

22. Exclusion of Anti-Social Forces

  1. You represent and warrant that you are not an organized crime group, a member of an organized crime group, a person associated with an organized crime group, a corporate racketeer, or any other equivalent anti-social force.
  2. You must not provide benefits to anti-social forces, lend your name to them, make threatening statements, make violent demands, make unreasonable demands, damage credibility, interfere with business, or engage in similar acts.
  3. If you violate this Article, we may suspend or terminate your use of the Services without prior notice.

23. Assignment

  1. You may not assign, transfer, pledge, or otherwise dispose of your status, rights, or obligations under these Terms to any third party without our prior written consent.
  2. If the operation of the Services is transferred due to business transfer, merger, reorganization, succession, change of operator, or similar transaction, we may assign or transfer our status, rights, obligations, Game Data, and related information to the successor, to the extent permitted by law and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

24. Severability

If any provision or part of any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by law, court, or competent authority, the remaining provisions and the remaining parts of the affected provision shall remain in full force and effect.

25. No Waiver

Our failure or delay in exercising any right under these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of that right or any other right.

26. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
  2. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Services or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Japanese court having jurisdiction over our location as the court of first instance, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws or other mandatory laws.
